Dr. Dunlap graduated

selected as an Alternate Payload Specialist (Astronaut) for Space Shuttle

microgravity on the brain and nervous system.

serves both as Chief Veterinarian for NASA and as an emergency room
physician at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, AR.

Spent three years teaching
at Searcy Junior High before coming home to Mountain Home as
High School band director. He held that position for
thirty-five years and retired from teaching in 2002.
During his tenure at
Mountain Home, he was named "Teacher of the Year" in 1975 and in
1979, and as the Arkansas "Bandmaster of the Year" in 1994.
Served as president of the
Arkansas School Band & Orchestra Association, the Arkansas
Bandmasters' Association, Arkansas chapter of Phi Beta Mu,
National Band Fraternity, and past president of the Baxter
County Retired Teachers' Association. Currently serves as a
board member of the Mountain Home Education Foundation, and was
named to the Foundation’s “Hall of Honors” in 2010.

Mountain Home school board in September of 2006, and is serving
his second year as President of the board and is the board's
